Women's History Month Spotlight: The Pratcher-Davis Foundation

Meet Erica Pratcher and Sheree Davis, co-founders of the Pratcher-Davis Foundation. Raised in East St. Louis, IL, Erica and Sheree have thrived in their academic and professional journeys in spite of many obstacles. Now, they are breaking down social, financial, and generational barriers so that young people in their community can do the same.

It all started in May 2016 when Erica and Sheree hosted a graduation party to celebrate their educational achievements. As part of the celebration, the two awarded a $1,500 scholarship to a graduating senior from East St. Louis Senior High School with the help of family and friends. At that moment, Erica and Sheree both knew that they were called to help youth in their community. Thus, the Pratcher-Davis Foundation and the Pratcher-Davis Scholarship was born.

Incorporated in January 2017, the Pratcher-Davis Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to Conquer Struggles and Cultivate Scholars by providing the resources needed to help low-income students thrive.

You can join Erica and Sheree at the 4th Annual Pratcher-Davis Scholarship Gala on April 27, 2019, where they will be honoring and awarding scholarships to students from East St. Louis Senior High. They will also present the East St. Louis Student Advocate Award, which honors an individual in the community who has dedicated his or her life to supporting, encouraging and safeguarding the children and students of East St. Louis, IL.
